Three years ago, Mayor Wayman Newton stood before the Tarrant City Council with a plan: install litter cameras, create an Environmental Court, and start cleaning up Tarrant for good.

The Council didn’t just reject it — they dismissed it, ignored it, and tried to bury it.

Now, with the election just weeks away, those same council members are suddenly passing their own version of the plan. Same cameras. Same idea. Just a different name — and no credit to the one who brought it forward.

And when we speak up about it? They call it “mudslinging.” Let’s be real: this is just what happened.

Imagine where Tarrant would be today if they had supported our plan in 2022 instead of playing political games.

Through it all, Mayor Newton never stopped fighting for this community — for cleaner streets, safer neighborhoods, and real solutions that serve the people, not the politics.

On August 26, 2025, let’s make it clear: we remember who showed up when it mattered.
